Robert Reid

Robert spent his career managing factories and manufacturing facilities in the Ottawa area and also in Nova Scotia. He is primarily a self-taught artist and has focused on visual art since 2010. His current mediums for creative focus are Scratchboards, Oil and Acrylic paintings. He lives in Carp, Ontario and can be contacted through this website.

About the Art – Robert enjoys creating Oil and Acrylic Paintings of Landscapes and various subjects. Scratchboard is essentially drawing with an Exacto blade and other sharp metal tools, which are used to “Scratch” an image onto a special board. This medium allows for extreme levels of detail in his chosen subjects. Robert says, “I find each of these mediums challenging in their own way, but are each very satisfying to work in.” You can see his work at various art shows throughout the year and on his social media.
