Betty Elizabeth Sullivan

Elizabeth finds that for her painting is the most magical of all pursuits, regardless of the medium. Her joy in telling the story through colour comes through in her paintings.

Elizabeth’s work can be found in various venues throughout the Ottawa valley. Her work has been exhibited into many juried shows such as:

  • The Ottawa Water Colour Society
  • The Kanata Art Club
  • The Ottawa Mixed Media Association
  • The East Central Art Associations
  • Algonquin Park Show

She has won “awards of excellence” for her work.

Elizabeth is mostly self taught but has supplemented her talent by taking art courses at Algonquin College, the Ottawa School of Art and pursuing workshops with artists she admires in both Canada and the USA. It is the very act of creating that inspires her. Born in the scenic village of Wakefield, Quebec, Canada she grew up surrounded by beautiful landscapes which left her with a deep spirituality that is reflected in her work. Once she picks up her paintbrush she gets lost in the world of colour, line, texture, value, shape, space and form.  It is a magical world that she enjoys sharing with others.

Elizabeth currently maintains her studio “Elizabeth’s Art Emporium” just south/west of Canada’s capital city Ottawa, Ontario. Here she is close to the great outdoors and the wonders of nature.

Her work can be seen on her web site or follow her on Facebook and Instagram.
